Babies decide what words to learn
Like teenagers, babies don't much care what their parents say.
Though they are learning words at 10 months old, infants tend to grasp the names of objects that interest them rather than whatever the speaker thinks is important, a new study has found.

Iraq Three Years Later: The Path to War
This is the best and most frank recap of what led up to the Iraq war. The pronouncements made by members of the Bush administration are startling considering what was actually found and what actually took place. It is clear to me that this administration did more than act on bad intelligence.

Gmail
I moved from two IMAP email accounts to Gmail. I used the Gmail loader to get my archived mail off of the IMAP servers and into Google's servers. I enabled POP3 access so I can download the mail into my Treo. This is the only application I'll use to actually download the mail. I'll use Firefox to access Gmail from all other computers and notifiers to alert me of new mail. I'm also using AddressBooktoCSV for OS X which can be found on Version Tracker.
Welcome to my new little experiment!
The past few years I've grown used to OS X and all the cool stuff that it has to offer with built in access to .Mac and what not. I still love OS X but believe that operating systems will become more and more irrrelevant as site providers give us more and more useful content. Don't get me wrong, .Mac is great but it only runs on Macs. I deal with 3 operating systems on a daily basis and syncing between everything was becoming a nightmare.
I have found online replacements for most of the things that I use and I'm going to try and integrate all of them. See the sidebar for links and I'll be posting more info right here.
